Jacob and the Man in Black discuss their rivalry. His plan to prevent that from happening is to destroy said energy by detonating a hydrogen bomb. Daniel tells Jack and Kate that the DHARMA Initiative are tapping into a massive pocket of energy that will one day cause Oceanic Flight 815 to crash on the Island.
